Dear Neighbors,
A friend of mine who lives on Waterbury Rd. had a social media post the other day that pictured his flag flying and spoke of some repairs he had to make to get the flag put up. He stated the age of his house and how it likely sheltered a family through the 1918 Spanish Flu pandemic. He went on to state that the house will do the same for his family in 2020 and that in the coming days and weeks we will see what really makes America great. It was an inspiring message.
As we follow protocols to help flatten the curve, our needs will likely change. While we are advised to remain physically apart from one another, we can still be good neighbors and help to address issues or concerns that may come up. We can help create hope and comfort in a time of uncertainty.
As an elected official and also someone who works full time in the public sector, I have received a lot of information about different programs and resources that are available to community members. If you have a question or concern, you are welcome to run it past me. Perhaps I can lend a hand or help get you connected to a good resource. Of course I also welcome any school district related questions. You are also welcome to email our Ward 3 Councilman, John Litten with any city-related questions at john.litten@lakewoodoh.net or to call or text him at 216-536-7176. Here are a few links that may be helpful as well.

There may be a Facebook group created for Elbur Ave and Elbur Lane residents. There may also be more updates to this website. If/when those occur, we will send an email.
In effort to unite, I suggest you consider flying your US and/or Ohio flags if you have them, per the request of the Governor.
It was also suggested by a neighbor that we consider putting holiday lights back to add energy and color to our street.
On behalf of Block Club Co-Captain Ann Marie Grimberg and Block Party Co-Chair Joel Moyer, stay safe and healthy… and wash your hands. We look forward to resuming block club meetings and having one heck of a block party when the time is right!
Best,
Mike Callahan
